GREENHAND DEGREE
This degree is for first-year FFA members enrolled in an agriculture course.

Qualifications:
Be regularly enrolled in a agricultural education course and plans for an SAE
Learn and explain the FFA Creed, Motto, Salute, and the FFA Mission Statement
Describe the FFA emblem, colors, and symbols
Explain the proper use of the FFA jacket
Have satisfactory knowledge of the history of the organization
Know the duties and responsibilities of FFA members
Personally own or have access to the Official FFA Manual.
CHAPTER DEGREE
This is the highest degree a chapter can bestow on its members. It is usually awarded during the second or third year of membership.

Qualifications:
Have the Greenhand FFA Degree
Two semesters of agricultural course work
SAE earnings and investments of at least $150 or at least 45 hours outside of class time
Leadership of a 15-minute group discussion
Demonstration of five procedures of parliamentary law
Progress toward individual achievement in the FFA award program
Satisfactory scholastic record
STATE DEGREE
The State FFA Degree is given to the top members of a State FFA Association, to receive a State FFA Degree members must meet the requirements listed in the Official FFA Manual. Applications are found in your AET.
AMERICAN DEGREE
The American FFA Degree is awarded to members who have demonstrated the highest level of commitment to FFA and made significant accomplishments in their supervised agricultural experiences (SAEs) and have completed high school. Contact an advisor if you are ready to apply.
